We are currently recruiting a HOME HELP ASSISTANT for our Upper Dale Home Care services team.

Having piloted Upper Dales Home Care in 2024, we are now expanding our support services team to

meet the ever-changing needs of our community. Our aim is to help people as much as possible to remain

independent and in their own homes, and also to provide support to those returning home from hospital stays who may need some assistance while they recover.

We are looking for someone who is compassionate, empathetic, caring, supportive, confidential and discreet.

MAIN PURPOSE OF THE ROLE

• Provide a bespoke home help service within the community.
• Further develop delivery of Upper Dales Home Care in line with UDCP Ltd.'s business strategy, alongside the Project Manager

RESPONSIBILITIES

• to provide help and support within clients' homes based on the individuals’ needs e.g., practical support for day-to-day domestic tasks (light cleaning, vacuuming, laundry, meal preparation), which will help clients live independently in their own homes.   
• supporting the Project Manager and wider care team to develop the services.

QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS / REQUIREMENTS

• Specific formal qualifications are not essential.
• We require someone who is caring, empathetic, supportive, confidential, and discreet.
• An interest in the welfare of our community and its residents is desirable.
• You must be 18 years or over.
• DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) checks will be carried out as part of our safeguarding
• responsibilities.
• Own vehicle needed.
• Training provided, including Safeguarding.

N.B - This position does not include any elements of personal care (bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting)

SALARY INFORMATION

• Starting at £14.40, then £14.99 after successful probationary period (3 months)
• 15hrs per week, flexible
• 12 month fixed term contract with option to extend/make permanent
• 28 days holiday pro rata
• Reporting to UDCP Ltd Project Manager
