We're delighted to announce the official opening of our brand new Community Cabin designed to support learning, connection, and promote well being for members of our community, regardless of age or circumstance.
From April, you will find us in Dryden House, next to the Library and Post Office (where the Children’s Clothes shop used to be). This is a wonderful “coming full circle” moment for UDCP Ltd, as the Community Office first opened in that very building almost 30yrs ago, back in 1997.
Opening on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays between 10:00am – 3:00pm, we will provide welcoming, accessible opportunities for people of all ages. This new space will offer:
• Learning Sessions
• Citizens Advice 1:1 Private Appointments
• Community Activities
• Cuppa Connect
• Bookable Hot-Desk/Meeting Space
Whether you’re looking to learn something new, meet others, seek support, or simply enjoy a warm, friendly environment, we would love to welcome you.

Do you help look after a relative, neighbour or friend? You may not be the only person who helps to care, but if you offer necessary help, and are not employed to provide care, then you are a carer.
You may be caring in a home, or in the home of the person you care for; the person may be a disabled child, an adult or an older person. Some carers help for just a few hours a week, others offer support every day. Some may live with the person they care for, but others may be at a distance.
Whatever your circumstances, you may be entitled to free support. From 1st October 2023 we will be providing the CARERS' BREAK SERVICE in our area.

Studies have shown that person-centred care at home has a greater positive impact on wellbeing, happiness and reduced hospital admissions than admission to a care home.
By being supported at home, elderly people can continue loving many aspects of life, surrounded by reminders of that life they carved out for themselves. Home care is generally less expensive than a care home and, depending on your circumstances, could be funded by us if you meet the criteria.
