We offer a variety of services for the community to access. These range from printing and photocopying to paying your Council Tax, from topping up your mobile phone to accessing council services. Pop in and ask us about anything - we will do our best to help.
We are happy to support local groups by being a central drop-off point for information, notices, correspondence, posters and advert.
Surgeries are held by our local Councillors, County Cllr Yvonne Peacock and Parish Cllr Jill Mcmullon, and our MP, The Rt Hon Rishi Sunak.
Although no longer stationed in Hawes, we also act as a base for the local police when they are working in the Hawes and Upper Dales area.

Our partnership with North Yorkshire Council began in 2005, and we have been providing library services ever since.
Libraries are an excellent resource for people who want to save money on books. If you’re someone who loves to read, the library is a fantastic place to borrow books for free. You can enjoy a wide selection of reading material without spending any money. This includes digital materials such as audiobooks, e-books & e-magazines.
The library’s suite of computers provides access to many online services, for example housing, health, job and business support. Library membership also provides access to subscription services such as Ancestry.com, the Encyclopedia Britannica, British Newspaper Archives, Theory Test Pro and Go Citizen.
If you are new to the digital world, we are on hand to help you!
With the closure of so many high street banks across the country, particularly in remote areas, being able to provide the community with postal and banking services is essential, and so we were extremely proud to take over the Post Office contract from the retiring Postmaster and his wife back in 2014.
Even as a small community branch we can provide many of the services offered by the larger Crown branches in towns.
Personal and business banking services, DVLA car tax, bill payments, phone top-ups, foreign currency and travel money cards, and of course all your home shopping returns and postal services.
For residents in Bainbridge and Askrigg, we offer a two day a week Outreach Service. Please see our Facebook Page for details of opening times.
Being able to support local businesses establish themselves is a good way to help the local economy and our aspiring entrepreneurs. UDCP Ltd currently manages seven business units on Bruntacres Industrial Estate.
Currently all occupied, we operate a reservation list - please get in touch for more information.
In 2019, just as the town was losing it's last bank, we trail-blazed another new partnership, this time with Newcastle Building Society.
They can offer a wide range of services, including savings, mortgages, face-to-face financial advice from Newcastle Financial Advisers Limited, home insurance and later life planning.
